Stop by The Conch House this Sunday, November 3rd from 12-4pm for the  36th annual Great Chowder Debate.   The Conch House has been doing the debate since 1984 and it is one of the longest-running chowder championships in the country. More than 30 local restaurants enter their specialty chowders in one of five categories:  Minorcan conch, Minorcan clam, New England clam, seafood, and non-Seafood. 

All proceeds from The Great Chowder Debate  to go Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County. 

Admission is FREE.   Taste tickets are $1 each.

Minorcan Conch Chowder: 1st Place:  Oak Room at the Double Tree; 2nd Place:  Lulu’s Waterfront Grille; Third Place:  The Conch House Marina Resort

Minorcan Clam Chowder: 1st Place:  Fresh Market Island; 2nd Place:  The Beachcomber; 3rd Place:  A1A Ale Works

New England Clam Chowder: 1st Place:  Harry’s Grille; 2nd Place: Tides Oyster Co. ; 3rd Place: The Conch House Marina Resort

Seafood Chowder: 1st Place:  St. Augustine Seafood Co. ; 2nd Place:  Harry’s Grille; 3rd Place: Luvin’ Oven

Non-Seafood Chowder: 1st Place:  The Conch House Marina Resort; 2nd Place:  Santiago’s Florida Kitchen and Craft Bar; 3rd Place: Harry’s Grille

People’s Choice Award:  Little Margie’s FA Cafe
